Summer Capsule Wardrobe + Thrift Store Finds

Have you ever experimented with a summer capsule wardrobe?

 

 

I personally was unaware of the ‘capsule wardrobe’ and minimalist movement until fairly recently.

 

 

And although I by no means am a minimalist, I think that my passion for ethical fashion and sustainability aligns well with the minimalist fashion movement– so I decided to round up my own capsule wardrobe for each season!

 

 

A little bit ago, I wrote about the damaging fast fashion industry and how we as consumers have let it infiltrate our closets.

 

 

Since conducting research on fast fashion, I have grown passionate about thrifting, sustainable fashion, and slow fashion. I never really thought of myself as someone who loved fashion- until I found sustainable fashion!

 

 

I wanted to share with you some of my summer thrifted must-haves. These are great additions to your summer capsule wardrobe and timeless pieces that can be found at my favorite online thrift store, Thredup.

As the nature of thrifting impedes the purchase of the same piece of clothing, I have linked several options for each piece in the capsule wardrobe.

 

 

Although you will not find the exact piece of clothing that I have, I have listed many similar options!

 

The Plain Jumpsuit/Romper

 

Jumpsuits and rompers are literally clothing saviors. When I don’t feel like wearing a dress (almost 100% of the time), but still want to dress up, they are my go to.
