BIPOC- Owned Vegan Skincare and Beauty Brands to Support

The beauty industry is dominated by white faces, products to make one more “sun-kissed” but God-forbid not “too dark”, and messages glorifying European beauty standards but neglecting to champion beauty of all shapes, sizes, and cultures.

The industry is also plagued with a HUGE waste problem. Plastic is beauty’s right-hand-gal, and the industry relies on the cheap production of plastic to make products.

Even products that are marketed as recyclable are often not in most recycling centers, due to the high content of mixed materials in beauty packaging.

There is a lot of “woke-washing” and “green-washing” in the industry. For this reason, it is so important to highlight brands that are ACTUALLY champions of diversity and sustainability.

Read on to learn about some amazing BIPOC- Women owned brands that are changing the industry for the better!
