Smart Textbook Shopping- Get Them CHEAP
I have a whole post on how to get your textbooks for cheap. Basically, this resource is a lifesaver and has saved me $200+ per semester on books!
Plan Out Your Semester EARLY
As soon as you get your syllabi, WRITE THOSE DATES DOWN in your planners! Having assingments on your radar, even if they're due in the far future, is such a huge help when you are trying to budget time and work ahead!
Make Connections in Your Classes
Before assingments pile up and life gets crazy, make friends and connections in your classes! These connections can turn into study groups and/or just great friendships. It's important to always have at least one friend in each class you have- you never know when you will totally forget the homework and need to ask someone about it!
Meet the Professors...
Especially in schools/classes that are big, it can be really important to familiarize yourself with the professor early on. Go to your professor's office hours early on to introduce yourself to them, it will leave a lasting impression and prove to be helpful later on!
Get Into a Routine
Establish your morning/fitness and health routine at the beginning of the semester when schoolwork is light. Having time to implement a routine is paramount to making it stick. Make sure that whatever health/fitness routine you choose, it is sustainable and something that you enjoy!
